A Word From Tommy...

As an eight year old boy watching hero’s like Mickey Mantle sell the game of baseball, my dream was to one day emulate him and others like him. Because of his undying passion for the game that he truly loved, he was able to play through injuries that would have caused others to give up. 

Being brought up in a happy home, going to church, being raised with respect and discipline and manners was a blessing. With a dedicated family and much hard work I was able to fulfill my dream of playing professional baseball. After being drafted in the second round out of college I played nine years of professional baseball.

As my professional baseball career ended, I found myself looking for a career that would be as fulfilling as my baseball career had been. It was an introduction through a good friend to Metropolitan Tractor Company in 1980 that set my life on track to selling quality used construction equipment. My lifes journey would continue down another wonderful path of building new friendships and relationships that continue today. 

In February 2006 a family decision was made to relocate in order to bring our family closer together. The move to Thomasville, Georgia brought about the beginning of a new chapter in our lives - the establishment of McMillan Machinery and Sales, LLC. 

McMillan Machinery Sales, LLC will provide quality used equipment to contractors and dealers throughout the United States. As Mickey Mantle sold the game of baseball, my goal is to continue to do what I love to do…SELL.
